A triple-office Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy based in Ramsbottom are looking for a Civil Design Engineer with at least 2+ years\' experience to join their team of 15 staff working on a range of Residential and Commercial projects.

The company have offices and projects as far north as Scotland and are almost 40 people strong in total. The company have an approved ICE Mentor for those seeking Chartership and the office Director is FICE (Fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers) and will be able to help and guide you to Chartership.

Responsibilities of a Civil Design Engineer:

• Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility and monitor progress.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Utilize engineering software and tools effectively to optimize design processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2-6 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the residential and commercial sectors.
• Proficient in using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
