The role involves planning, designing, and managing a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring delivery that meets safety, quality, and cost benchmarks. The successful candidate will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle--from feasibility through to construction oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings, models, and technical documents
Conduct site inspections, surveys, and feasibility studies
Ensure designs comply with UK building codes and regulations
Liaise with contractors, local authorities, and clients
Provide technical support during project execution
Identify and resolve engineering challenges
Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources
Manage documentation and prepare regular progress reports
Required Skills:
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software
Strong knowledge of UK construction standards and safety regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage projects independently and in a team
Experience with budgeting and scheduling is a plus
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BEng); Master's degree (MEng/MSc) preferred
2-5 years of relevant UK-based experience
Working towards or achieved Chartered status (ICE or equivalent)
Valid UK driving licence (for site travel)
