My client is a multi-discipline Property and Construction Consultancy, who help their clients create better, more sustainable place for people to live, learn and work.

The team in Bristol are seeking a Civil Engineer to join their growing Civil and Structural Engineering team.
For this role:
\xc2\xb7You will have a keen interest in developing your understanding and ability in civil engineering design and a willingness to research and take on new challenges.
\xc2\xb7Be able to work independently and use your engineering judgement to tackle day to day problems, delegate tasks and show a desire to develop junior members of the team.
\xc2\xb7Experience of the multi-disciplinary nature of complex projects from planning stage, through to completion. You will show a desire to develop your project coordination skills and an understanding about other discipline roles on projects.
Role and Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7Support senior civil engineering staff with design
\xc2\xb7Produce civil engineering drawings and layout and/or supervise/mentor more junior engineers & CAD Technicians
\xc2\xb7Represent the company at external meetings with clients and fellow professionals

Experience and Skills Required:
\xc2\xb7Proven experience of Civil engineering design, covering several aspects of preliminary and detailed design of levels, drainage, external works and highways
\xc2\xb7Fully conversant with our industry standard design software packages AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
\xc2\xb7Knowledge of delivering S38/S278 and S104s
\xc2\xb7The use of the Microsoft Office Suite of software, including Excel
\xc2\xb7Knowledge liaising with both internal and external bodies, including planning authorities, statutory undertakers and national bodies such as the Environment Agency
\xc2\xb7Experience liaising with other consultants such as architects, planners, project managers and directly with clients
\xc2\xb7Experience of providing an outward facing capacity as a design team representative in dealings with clients on technical matters
\xc2\xb7Excellent communicator, both written and oral, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different circumstances
\xc2\xb7Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally
\xc2\xb7A \'self-starter\' with drive, positivity and enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed
