The role will be mainly based on-site in Teesside, UK. However, during the initial phase of the project, there will also be vendor-related scope.

The QC / Inspection Engineer responsibilities and experience:
Actively promotes and supports implementation of project safety culture,
practices and procedures.
Responsibility, authority, and organizational freedom to audit, inspect and
witness site activities and to verify compliance to contract quality
requirements.
Assisting the construction supervision in proactive prevention of quality
problems, identifying quality-related problems, should they occur,
Can initiate or recommend solutions and verify corrective action.
Undertake punch list activities on completed systems regarding design and
procurement specifications.
Provide discipline assistance to ensure all punch items are closed out in line
with project specifications.
Experienced gained within the civil engineering construction industry, with
installation of equipment and structural steel installations.
Hold a HNC Civil Engineering or, equivalent.
Experienced in ensuring that all construction work complies with industry
standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
The ability to read, follow and decipher Engineered drawings, site layouts etc.
A thorough working knowledge of a completion system utilizing ITRs to
achieve mechanical completion.
Maintain the Site Quality Control Practices.
Ability to travel and visit Contractors (including Sub-contractors), Vendors
facilities in line with ITP requirements and agreed Travel Plan.
Review and approve construction and installation Inspection and Test Plans
submitted by contractors and vendors.
Review and construction certification record books submitted by contractors
and vendors
Report and document the results of Quality Control visits to supplier/subcontractor
locations
Provide a weekly QC report to the QC Lead.
Provide input to the Quality section in weekly and Monthly management
reports.
Deputise for and attend weekly Contractor meetings in QC Leads absence.
