Job Summary

Responsible for operating heavy machinery to aid in the successful completion of construction projects.

Duties will include preparing construction sites/Pathways, removing debris, digging trenches, and installing structural components.

Have a keen eye for detail and adhere strictly to Health & Safety regulations.

Operate the excavator and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Performing daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. Excavating, move, and grade earth, erect structures, and pour concrete, Tarmac or other hard surface pavement. Must ensure a solid understanding of and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Health & Safety & examine situations considering the principles of the Code of Ethics Perform other duties as assigned. Operate in line with companies' policies and procedures.

Key Accountability:

Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. Pre-inspect the construction site before commencing excavation to identify any potential hazards. Excavate land as per the construction plan or project blueprints. Communicate with the team to ensure tasks are completed on time and as per the specifications. Assist in loading and unloading of construction materials. Maintain a clean and clutter-free construction site. Adhere to all safety and operational protocols in the workplace. Report any equipment damages or malfunctions to the Supervisor. Participate in routine training and safety programs to enhance skills and knowledge about construction safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven work experience as a Civils Operator. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions. Strong understanding of construction operations and processes. Good physical condition and endurance.
