Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Civils Operative/Groundworker to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of groundworks on residential and commercial projects, working to high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out all aspects of groundworks including: Excavation and earthworks Foundations (strip, trench fill, pads) Drainage installation (foul & surface water) Ducting, service trenches, and manholes Kerbing, edging, paving, and concreting Operate small plant and tools safely (e.g. breakers, compactors, saws) Assist with setting out works where required Read and follow drawings and site instructions Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required Adhere to all health & safety regulations on site
Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Groundworker Good knowledge of drainage and foundation works Ability to work from drawings and levels Strong work ethic and reliability Good timekeeping and attention to detail Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Desirable (but not essential)

SSSTS/CSCS Card Dumper / Digger tickets Experience in residential groundworks Driving licence
