Due to growth, we have an opportunity for a

Civils Site Manager

to join our Southern Team (Kent, Sussex, Surrey & Hampshire). As Site Manager, you will oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is completed safely, on time and within budget and to the right quality standards.

Proven experience in civil engineering/highways experience in a supervisory or management role.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

The ability to brief safety information to all site staff, read drawings effectively.

An awareness of contract programme requirements.

Can work clearly and accurately under pressure, to timescales, be reliable and self-motivated.

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong problem-solving abilities

Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices

Desirable -

Minimum 3 years construction experience. Level 6 NVQ Construction Management, CSCS Manager's Card. SMSTS Qualified.

Assisting the Project Manager in the management of the site on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibility for managing health, safety and environmental matters.

Preparing and managing safety documentation WPP/TBRA etc.

Controlling and issuing appropriate permits to work.

Controlling and monitoring competencies on site.

Maintaining the site diary, issuing works records, recording extra works etc.

Preparing progress reports.

Liaising with Project Quantity Surveyor on commercial matters.

Managing labour, plant and materials on site in conjunction with the Foreman.

Preparing timesheets, plant records etc.

Managing sub-contractors effectively with emphasis on health, safety and quality.

Liaising with client, designer, construction consultants etc.

Develop understanding of programmes and sequencing of construction activities.

Ability to undertake site measures when required.

Work closely with operational teams.

Be able to work clearly and accurately under pressure and to tight timescales.

Be able to think logically and laterally.

Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
