About the Role:


We are looking for a skilled Fibre Optic Engineer to join our team and support the deployment and maintenance of high-speed fibre optic networks across Scotland. The ideal candidate will have experience in fibre installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting, with a flexible approach to travel and working in diverse environments.

Key Responsibilities:



Install, terminate, and splice fibre optic cables in various locations. Conduct site surveys and prepare for network installation. Test and commission fibre optic networks to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve fibre network issues efficiently. Work safely and in compliance with health and safety standards. Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to meet project deadlines. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and network configurations.

Qualifications & Skills:



Proven experience in fibre optic installation, splicing, and testing. Knowledge of fibre network standards and best practices. Valid driver's license with own vehicle (preferred for travel across Scotland). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and customer-focused approach.

Preferred:



Certification in fibre optic technology (e.g., BICSI, Fibre Optic Installer). Experience working in rural or challenging environments.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 500.00-1,000.00 per day

Work Location: In person
