Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled

Civils Operative

to carry out telecoms civils works--including excavations, duct laying, reinstatement, and cabinet/box installations--to support fibre and utility network build and maintenance across fixed-line projects. The successful candidate will ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, to high quality standards, and in full compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Experience in telecoms or utilities civils works (e.g., excavation, ducting, reinstatement). NRSWA (Street Works) Operative accreditation. Valid CSCS card. Full UK Driving Licence. Understanding of Health & Safety requirements on civils sites. Ability to operate plant and machinery (e.g., mini-diggers).

Desirable:

First Aid at Work certification. CAT & Genny training. Confined Spaces training. Experience working on SPEN, Virgin Media, or CityFibre projects. Openreach accreditations. Digger and plant operation tickets.

Skills & Competencies

Essential:

Knowledge of reinstatement specifications (HAUC). Ability to read and interpret civils and fibre build drawings. Strong awareness of site safety and compliance. Effective team player with good communication skills. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Desirable:

Experience mentoring apprentices or junior operatives. Understanding of fibre network build processes

Pay: 26,000.00-45,000.00 per year
