Team Leader / Ganger - Civils & EV Infrastructure

Pay:

20.00 per hour + 20/night working away allowance

Hours:

45 hours per week (Mon-Thu standard week)

About the Role

Rouse Civils Ltd are looking for an experienced

Team Leader / Ganger

to take charge of a small civils team (3-4 operatives) delivering

EV charging and general civil engineering works

across the UK.

This is a

hands-on working supervisor role

, responsible for leading day-to-day site operations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and completing all required paperwork and site reports.

The role requires

working away from home Monday to Friday

.

Accommodation, travel, and a

20 per night subsistence allowance

are all provided.

Typical Work Includes

Excavations (hard & soft), hand and machine operated Installation of electrical ducts, HV/LV containment, and cable pulling Installation of concrete plinths, edgings, and kerbs to specification Reinstatement works including paving, tarmac, concrete, fencing, and landscaping Producing

"As-Laid" drawings

with accurate measurements and fixed reference points Managing daily paperwork, team timekeeping, and staggered breaks

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate a small civils team (3-4 operatives) Read and interpret plans and drawings accurately Conduct daily toolbox talks and enforce health & safety compliance Ensure works meet project specification, quality, and deadlines Complete daily site photos, reports, and communication with management Resolve on-site issues quickly to maintain workflow Submit As-Laid drawings and reports with completion documentation Uphold Rouse Civils' drug and alcohol policy

Experience & Requirements

Proven experience leading small civils / groundworks gangs Minimum 3 years' experience in civils, reinstatement, or ducting
