WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE with Counterbalance and or VNA preferable but not essential
Location: Burton On Trent
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern rotating weekly 7:00 - 15:30 & 10.30- 19:00
About the position:
To carry out all duties related to the distribution and storage process within an assigned area, and as instructed by operational management. To include, but not exclusively, Inbound and Outbound processing, stock management, housekeeping and the maintenance of a safe working environment. These duties are to be conducted on a professional manner whilst ensuring that agreed daily targets and KPI objectives are met whilst conforming to all Health and Safety requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:

• Unloading, inbound deliveries safely and efficiently with the MHE provided or as required by hand
• Processing and putting away stock delivered to the warehouse in a safe and timely manner
• Picking outbound stock orders as per the customer requirements through manual and/or system processes
• Processing outbound orders including system requirements, marshalling, and wrapping and strapping appropriately
• Loading vehicles safely and efficiently
• To attend regular meetings/briefings before the start of each shift
• To follow all health and safety guidelines and policies to maintain a safe working environment
• To maintain a clean working environment and to complete housekeeping activities in the warehouse where necessary or where instructed to do so by the operational management
• To complete any activities required in the depot yard as deemed necessary by the operational management in order to fulfil customer contracts
• To ensure the use of correct Personal protective clothing as appropriate to the role and specified by Health and Safety regulations and operational management
• To maintain efficient communication with other team members, as operational management and where necessary, the customer and other internal departments and external suppliers
• Any other duties required by the operational management

About you:
The ideal candidate will be educated in Maths and English (oral and written) to GCSE, Standard Grade or equivalent; grade A-C and be able to demonstrate highly competent computer skills in all areas of Microsoft office.

• Experience of working in a warehouse or production environment
• General awareness of Health and Safety requirements within a warehouse environment/able to assess risk
• Skilled in the operation of mechanical handling equipment
• Good Team Player, self-motivated
• Able to communicate verbally and written

Salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
