Job Description

Lester Cladding North West Ltd is a cladding contractor, specialising in cladding, facades and envelope solutions, based in Wigan. With 30 years' experience of the construction industry, we partner with clients from inception to completion of projects worth up to 5 million. We are looking to appoint a new Site Manager, who who has the needed qualifications, experience and knowledge.

Our offices are based in Wigan but there is no requirement to attend our offices on a daily basis. We expect managers to attend our offices as/when required, (2-3 days per week at minimum usually).

Our projects are based around the North West, and North East. Eg: Preston, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Carlisle. There may sometimes a requirement to lodge a couple of nights per week, in which case, additional pay would be provided. All sites are generally managed with local labour and management.

Experience in installing and managing a range of roofing systems such as built up fully supported, flat roofing systems and facade systems is required.

Managing various aspects of roofing and cladding facade projects (generally 1 project at a time)*, including all types of composite and built up systems/rain screens up to the value of 4m.
Liaising with design team and discussing issues and amendments to drawings required. Arranging for subcontractors to price works and obtaining suitable RAMS Organising, supervising and training subcontractors and employed cladders on site - Ensuring on site labour are making adequate progress and closing out any reported defects noted as/when required. Producing programmes as required for subcontractors, internal progress monitoring and client reporting. Producing daily and weekly progress, safety and quality reports for your projects. These must be detailed reports with progress descriptions and comments alongside photographs, with close out areas listed if required. Producing RAMS and issuing them to all those on site, ensuring they are fully understood and adhered to at all times. Carrying out toolbox talks.

Requirements

You must hold a UK driving license Qualifications should include Black Managers CSCS Card (or at minimum Blue or Gold), Other qualifications such as SMSTS, IPAF, First Aid, CPCS Slinger Signaller, PASMA, RAMS training, Working at Heights, are preferable.
