Claims Data Analyst

Stratford-upon-Avon, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Claims Data Analyst

-----------------------

Brand new opportunity within our Claims MI and Analytics team

Utilise your passion for data and interest in insurance to carve out your career

As this is a brand-new opportunity, we're open to discussing what working hours might look like for you.

About the role

------------------

As a Claims Data Analyst, you'll play a key role in helping us make informed, data-led decisions across our Head Office Claims function. This is a brand-new opportunity with the team that will give you an opportunity to develop and progress your career. Sitting within a collaborative team, you'll learn from specialist colleagues, and support the business by monitoring and analysing claim trends to provide the insights which help us tell the story behind the numbers.

This is a varied and engaging role where your work will directly contribute to improving the way we monitor, understand and manage claims performance. Whether it's taking ownership of regular reporting responsibilities and requests from internal stakeholders, delivering one off projects, maintaining existing dashboards with the use of SQL and Power BI, or supporting the creation of new data visualisations to provide new claims insight.

Working closely with experienced analysts you'll be encouraged to develop your skills and take ownership of your work. You'll build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the claims function to ensure the consumers of our reporting extract the maximum value from the insight the team provides.

This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is to you, so we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work full-time, part-time and some of your hours from home. To help you give your best in the office and at home, we're open to discussing what this might look like for you.

About you

-------------

You have a keen eye for detail and experience of accessing and visualising data to enable the monitoring and understanding of financial or customer outcome metrics. Whether you're working independently or collaborating with others, you're motivated by using data to make a real difference, and you take pride in delivering insight that supports colleagues and enables informed decision making.

Comfortable handling varied datasets, you're confident using

Excel

for manipulation, pivot tables, charts, formulas, macros and VBA. You may also have experience using tools like

Power BI

or

SQL

to extract and visualise reliable datasets, though we're happy to support your continued learning in these areas as part of your development.

You communicate your findings clearly--both in writing and verbally--and you enjoy working with stakeholders across different levels of the business. Your

analytical mindset

and

solutions-focused approach

help you spot trends, solve problems, and present solutions that drive value.

You may have previous experience within the insurance sector, but if you don't, you'll be eager to learn all about our business and our position within the wider industry. Above all, you bring a proactive,

customer-focused

approach and the self-motivation to keep learning and growing in your role.

At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique. We celebrate the creativity and innovation that comes from diverse perspectives and experiences and share a common vision of doing the right thing for our customers and employees.

We recognise that some candidates may experience barriers during the recruitment process. So, we encourage candidates to discuss any adjustments or accommodations they need to be the best they can be throughout our recruitment process.
