about the role:

we are seeking an Insurance Claims Manager to establish and lead our claims function within the Lloyd's and UK regulatory framework.




This is a pivotal leadership role within battleface and Robin Assist, requiring a proven claims specialist who can design, implement, and manage claims operations that balance customer outcomes with Lloyd's and FCA compliance. Working alongside underwriting, compliance, and operations, you will build a claims journey that delivers fair, fast, and transparent results for customers while strengthening our position in the Lloyd's market.

Significant experience handling travel, medical, and complex international claims, ideally within the Lloyd's or wider UK insurance market Clear understanding of FCA and Lloyd's regulations, fair claims handling standards, and market oversight Experience working with regulators, legal institutions, coverholders, and capacity providers Customer-first mindset: you believe claims should enhance, not hinder, the policyholder experience Tech-focused thinker who embraces innovation to simplify claims processes and eliminate inefficiencies Natural leader with the ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing claims professionals



specifically, you will




Build and lead the claims department for Robin Assist, ensuring policies and practices align with Lloyd's and FCA standards Manage travel and medical claims globally, delivering fair and timely outcomes Partner with underwriting and compliance teams to ensure policy wordings, reserving, and claims processes align with business and regulatory requirements Develop robust MI, reserving, and reporting frameworks for internal, partner, and regulatory use Represent the business with regulators, capacity providers, and Lloyd's stakeholders Innovate across the claims and assistance journey, leveraging Robin Assist's platform to anticipate and meet customer needs

Proven track record in international claims management, with Lloyd's or UK market experience Demonstrated ability to engage regulators and market stakeholders Deep technical knowledge of claims handling, reserving, and complex negotiations Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
