We're looking for a detail-driven and proactive Claims & Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Lithia UK. This is a role where you'll make a real impact -- protecting our business by ensuring claims are managed efficiently, fairly, and with complete integrity. Every claim tells a story, and you'll be the one ensuring that story is investigated thoroughly, handled with professionalism, and resolved in the best possible way for both our people and our business.
From investigating workplace incidents and accidents to working closely with solicitors, insurers, and external providers, you'll be the go-to person for keeping claims on track and risks under control. You'll make sure costs are managed carefully, processes run smoothly, and colleagues feel supported throughout. With your eye for detail and ability to see the bigger picture, you'll be at the heart of our efforts to keep colleagues safe, costs under control, and risk well managed.
You'll have the opportunity to be involved with:
Investigating workplace incidents and accidents thoroughly to ensure accurate reporting and fair outcomes
Handling claims from start to finish, including liaising with solicitors, insurers, and external service providers
Administering the company's internal insurance processes and keeping everything up to date and compliant
Supporting colleagues with insurance-related queries and promoting risk management initiatives across the business
Preparing accurate, high-quality reports on claims activity and costs, making sure spend is controlled
Negotiating and settling claims in line with agreed policies and protocols
Building strong relationships with external providers while always keeping Lithia's best interests front of mind
Developing your knowledge of current policy covers, claims handling practices, and industry regulations
Do you have what it takes to be a Lithia UK colleague? We're looking for someone who has:
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills, with the confidence to handle data and admin tasks accurately
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and the ability to investigate and research effectively
A commitment to honesty, integrity, and confidentiality in every aspect of the role
A collaborative mindset, balanced with the ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and meet deadlines
Strong organisational skills and the ability to interpret policies and instructions with confidence
Previous experience in insurance or risk management, which would be advantageous but not essential
