We're recruiting for a

Claims Settlement Team Leader

to join our team, based at our office in Bedford, MK44 3JZ.



As a

Claims Settlement Team Leader

, you will be responsible for leading a team of settlement agents, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance, and performance across all vehicle's total loss settlement activities. You'll play a key role in training, supporting, and developing your team while working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, support, and coach a team of settlement agents
Monitor team performance and ensure targets, KPIs, and SLAs are consistently met
Ensure all claims settlements are processed accurately and efficiently
Handle escalated queries or complaints from customers and insurer clients
Maintain strong compliance with FCA and data protection regulations
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and team productivity
Provide training, performance feedback, and development support to the team
Collaborate with other departments to support end-to-end service delivery

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within claims, insurance, or a related environment
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and coaching skills
High attention to detail with strong organisational abilities
Ability to handle sensitive and financial information with confidentiality
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Working knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance standards

Desirable:

Experience in the automotive or salvage industry
Familiarity with vehicle total loss processes
Proficiency in claims or CRM systems
