Claims Solutions UK Claims Preparation Practice Leader




We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Solutions team at Marsh Risk Consulting to lead our Claims Preparation team. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


A position to work in Marsh Claims Solutions, which provides consulting services to clients in relation to a variety of claims related issues. The Claims Preparation team specifically supports clients with the preparation, presentation and negotiation of their major and complex losses.


The Claims Preparation Leader will lead a team of circa 30 professionals from a variety of disciplines including Adjusters, Accountants, Surveyors and Engineers. The team works across all client segments across the UK firm from SME through to large multinational in addition to supporting global London placed speciality clients in the energy and construction sectors. The team is based in London and throughout the UK.


The Practice leader is responsible for ensuring our client value proposition and delivery is best in class, we attract, nurture develop and retain the best talent, and we meet all financial objectives to grow the business.


The Practice Leader reports into the UK Claims Solutions Leader and works alongside the Sales Leader and other pillar leaders within the Claims Solutions business.


As part of developing the Practice, the Leader will utilise existing internal process & relationships whilst identifying and developing new and enhanced ways of penetrating the wider Marsh business..

We will count on you to:



Developing and updating the Claims Preparation value proposition. Providing subject matter expert support to colleagues and on designated projects Identifying brokerage segment/product line growth initiatives and adapting propositions to suit In conjunction with the Sales and Proposition Leader, develop and implement a multi- year sales plan to drive revenue growth for the practice Building strong relationships within the brokerage , which enhance the Claims Solutions brand Providing a link between segment core Claims team and the Claims Preparation team Support leadership with segment/product line revenue budgeting and take accountability for delivering on internal relationships and propositions with Marsh colleagues and their clients The Practice Leader will be accountable for the Practice financial performance ensuring revenue growth, correct resourcing and cost control.

What you need to have:



Technical experience managing complex and large claims Experience leading a team Proven track record of strategy and growth Manage client relationship as necessary on pitched-and-won engagements Relationship building skills, both client and market

What makes you stand out?



Insurance, Loss Adjusting or Accountancy qualifications. Experience in a broking house would be an advantage but not essential for the right candidate
