Are you passionate about developing people, shaping technical expertise, and supporting a high-performing claims function? We're looking for a Claims Technical Training Specialist to help build and deliver an exceptional learning experience across Retail Protection Claims. We are offering a salary of up to 50,000 depending on experience. You'll play a key role in strengthening technical capability, enhancing customer outcomes, and supporting assessors across a broad range of claim types, including a strong focus on Income Protection.
What you'll be doing:

• Designing and delivering high-quality technical training to new and experienced claims assessors
• Creating and updating training content, materials and evaluation methods that align with Claims philosophy
• Providing technical guidance and coaching on complex claims including Death, Critical Illness, Terminal Illness, PTD and Income Protection
• Supporting assessors through case checking, constructive feedback and tailored development
• Identifying training needs through recruitment activity, performance insights and customer feedback
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Claims, Underwriting, Legal, Conduct, Reinsurers and other stakeholders
• Embedding regulatory expectations, good customer outcomes and best practice across all training activity
• Contributing to the development of the Claims Technical Academy by researching and implementing new training approaches

Qualifications
Who we're looking for:

• Extensive experience in claims assessment, with strong technical knowledge of Income Protection
• A thorough understanding of protection products, claims processes and end-to-end case management
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and support others
• Confidence in making technical decisions and offering guidance on complex or sensitive claim scenarios
• Experience analysing results or trends and translating insights into clear training solutions
• The ability to build positive relationships and influence effectively across teams
• A proactive, flexible approach, with openness to new learning methodologies and continuous improvement
• A commitment to delivering fair treatment and positive outcomes for customers
