We currently have an opportunity for experienced

HGV

Class 1 Driver

to join our logistics team based in Altham, Accrington. Working a maximum of an average 48-hour week over a rolling 26-week period, the key objective of this role is to undertake national (and some international) deliveries to different customers across the UK, whilst providing the customer with a positive service experience.

The Role:

Undertake single drop and multi drop deliveries throughout the UK and occasionally internationally. Work efficiently and consistently to tight deadlines to ensure customer satisfaction targets and service targets are adhered to. Work largely through the day to deliver a mix of palletised goods and loose loaded office chairs to our clients. Keep in regular communication with colleagues to update on progress and manage expectations effectively. Be understanding, calm and professional. Be smartly presented and adhere to H&S regulations on pick up and drop off sites by wearing all the required PPE. Always drive in a safe, responsible and courteous manner. Complete daily vehicle walk round checks. Keep your vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained.

The Person:

Experience working as a Class 1 LGV Driver. Experience of drawbar LGV systems preferable but not essential. Training given accordingly. Good communication skills, verbal and written. Excellent customer service. Knowledge of UK National & DVSA Driving standards. Up to date CPC Periodic Training. Must have a full UK Driving Licence (HGV1). Prepared to spend 2 to 3 nights away each week.
