Class 1 Driver - Darlaston, Walsall - 16.87 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a

Class 1 Driver

on behalf of our client based in Darlaston, Walsall. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established transport team with ongoing work and competitive pay.

The Role:

We're looking for an experienced

Class 1 Driver

to join the Transport department at our clients Walsall site. This full-time position involves operating Class 1 vehicles across various routes, ensuring deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and operating a Class 1 vehicle Completing daily vehicle check sheets and defect reports Adhering to all relevant driving laws and regulations Providing excellent customer service, both face-to-face and over the phone Following all health and safety requirements Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and tidiness Completing any additional tasks as directed by the Transport Operations Manager Being willing and able to undertake nights out (tramping) as required

Requirements:

A clean Class 1 (C+E) driving licence Driver CPC Valid Digital Tacho card A minimum of 1 year's Class 1 driving experience - Tacho download required Knowledge of driver's hours and Working Time Directive regulations Ability to operate a range of trailer types Smart and professional appearance
