Job Description

Pay Rate: 42,891.08 (shift premiums of 10% will be paid between 4pm until 10pm and 20% will be paid between 10pm-6am)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: We operate a 4, 4, 5 rota (over a 17 week period) therefore be prepared for long days as we cover a number of stores largely across the South and East of the UK
Start times usually 00:30-03:30 (Please note this role may involve the occasional unforeseen night out))
Location of site: DHL, Meridian Business Park, 1 Meridian Street, Leicester LE19 1WY

• Bonus payments for new recruits 500 to be paid in January pay providing all scheduled shifts in Nov and Dec are worked and then an additional bonus of 250 to be paid in February providing all scheduled shifts in January are worked.

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business are seeking HGV Class 1 drivers to play a vital role in our distribution service.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Experienced flexible Class 1 Drivers to carry a mixture of products along with store drops between 2-3 per shift in general from our site in Leicester
• Deliveries are palletised and you will be provided with an electric pump truck
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• You will hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• 1 years experience of Class 1 HGV driving this is ideal but not essential
