Job Description

This role will consist of a mixture of both home and away work. Drivers are expected and should be prepared to cover at least 1 x night out per week. Nights out are determined by work load and customer requirements.

The role involves undertaking unit and drag work so previous experience with a drawbar trailer would be advantageous however training will be provided.

Please note there is a 'tramping' requirement

Overtime paid at 1.5x rate after 40hours.

Ensure completion of appropriate paperwork for collections/delivery of all goods carried.

Ensure that daily checks of vehicle and equipment are carried out and the relevant forms filled in, with any defects reported promptly.

Develop and maintain good relations with customers and work colleagues.

Ensure security of vehicles and equipment at all times.

Ensuring own and others compliance with Health & Safety policy

Adhere to all legal requirements regarding highways regulations, driver hours and any driving activity.

If driving has completed for the day to undertake any tasks that need completing within the yard/depot.

To undertake any other reasonable management requests.

Qualifications & Experience:

A good standard of general education

LGV Class I Licence

Experience of dealing with customers

Experience of working with the public

Digital tacho knowledge and practice

Evidence of Driver CPC

Pay: 14.20-14.50 per hour
