Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires proficiency in operating a variety of vehicles/trailers from curtain siders, bulkers and flat trailers ensuring timely deliveries safely.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit. Deliver goods to designated locations on time while maintaining accurate delivery records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with valid driver CPC and tacho card Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and clients. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service during deliveries. Occasional nights out required.
