Overview

We are seeking a reliable HGV Day Drivers, Night Drivers & Trampers to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires a combination of driving expertise, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to ensure timely deliveries and maintain customer satisfaction.

MINIMUM 2 YEARS CLASS 1 EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Duties

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Assist in basic mechanical troubleshooting of the vehicle when necessary.

Skills

Proven experience as a HGV driver with a valid commercial driving licence. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot issues with the vehicle. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers professionally. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a warehouse environment. Strong organisational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively.
