Job Description

Swan Transport are recruiting a Part Time Self Employed - Temp to Perm/ Full Time Employed Class 1 (C+E) driver/tramper to complement our growing haulage business. We specialise in flat bed haulage, particularly sawn timber haulage.

The role will include nights out as we make deliveries and collections to our customers and other branches over the UK. Nights out are paid additionally. Driving shifts may vary and are flexible with weekend availability. Drivers start and end a shift from Crowborough, East Sussex.

About You:



Full and valid UK C&E driving licence (Large Goods Vehicle, Class 1). Hold a current Driver CPC qualification and Driver Card (Tachograph) No more than 3 penalty points on your licence (ideally a clean licence is preferred) Class 1 HGV / C&E driving experience Weekend Availability

Technical Abilities



Be able to throw straps over loads up to 4.9m and properly secure loads. Work under the instruction of the Transport Manager/Planner. Enter and Exit the lorry cab freely. Walk over uneven surfaces and terrains. Adhere to company policies, including health and safety regulations. Be friendly and professional towards customers. Effectively look after the vehicle, maintain its condition, reporting any defects in the correct manner. Wash the lorry once a week.
