Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 HGV driver to join our team.

Based in NW2, you will work Monday to Friday with all bank holidays off.

You will be trunking double deck trailers to our hub in the midlands each night. You must have previous experience of double deck trailers and pallet network operations.

You may be required to carry out some local collections from customer sites at the start of your shift.

Candidates will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and company policies. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with depot staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries. Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.

Experience

Previous experience as a driver within a pallet network is essential. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices is essential. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with team members and clients.
