Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lorry Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate a rigid artic lorry to transport goods to various locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy. Communicate effectively, alongside the office staff, with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns. 3+ days per week Driving in a modern vehicle Driver will have the opportunity to chose their vehicle

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for an articulated class 1 vehicle Someone with forklift training would be an advantage, otherwise training will be provided
Sherwood Farms Ltd is a family run business situated in the village of Hickling. The farming business has been running and growing since the 1940's. Today the business is a mix of predominately laying hens and arable crops, but also includes a composting business, a mix of renewable enterprises, a horse livery, property and more. You would become part of a team of around 20 people who work within the business.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From 17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
