We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver Who don't mind Tramping all week, The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in flatbed operations and delivery driving. This role requires a commitment to safety, punctuality, and excellent customer service while transporting goods efficiently.

Duties

Operate a Curtain Sided lorry safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transport. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic patterns and road conditions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that may occur during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and maintenance for the lorry.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with a category appropriate for operating flatbed/Curtain Sided lorries. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the commercial driving sector. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads properly. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
