Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of machinery nationwide. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and compliance with all driving regulations, ensuring timely deliveries. The role will require nights out, the frequency of these will vary. It may also include some weekend work. pay will depend on skill.

Responsibilities

Operate a stepframe to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of a variety of machinery, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with your line manager and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from customers.

Skills

Strong understanding of stepframe operations and driving various types of machiney. (Desierable but not essential - training will be provided) Excellent driving skills. Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for record keeping. Good verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

HGV Class 1 licence required CSCS/IPAF/NPORS/Loader and Securer desirable but not essential
