Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with tautliner vehicles.. As a HGV Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities

Operate tautliner lorries safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads. Communicate effectively with the Transport team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate classifications for commercial driving. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with tautliner vehicles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service at all times.
