Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Duties

60 to 70 hours per week 17.30 per hour Tramping required (25 per night out) General Haulage role Operate a curtainside lorry to transport goods to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for safe transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (CE) Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with curtainside lorries. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems effectively. Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
