Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to operate different types of vehicles, including curtainsided lorries. .
Duties
Safely drive lorries to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records as required. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Experience
Previous experience as a Class 1 driver or in a similar role is preferred. A valid C+E driving licence is essential. Strong communication skills are required for effective interaction with team members and clients.
