We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules. Experience with flatbed lorries and commercial driving is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate chilled and frozen trailers for the safe transportation of goods. Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status. Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and compliance. Ensure vehicles are kept in a clean, presentable condition at all times.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E ) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Familiarity with chilled lorry operations is an advantage. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. A commitment to maintaining high safety standards on the road.

5 on 3 off (Tramping) Own truck (DAF XG) Casual drivers (adhoc work)
