WARD have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced Class 1 Multi-Discipline drivers. We are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Multi-Discipline drivers to cover all aspects of tasks.

This exciting opportunity not only gives you opportunity to drive class 1 for Ward but we are also offering

to enable training across the whole fleet allowing for

variation

within your working day but also a range of skills and experience which will

make you invaluable

to all employers.

We pride ourselves on the standard of our fleet of vehicles which are all less than 5 years old - we are also excited to have just received a brand-new fleet of vehicles. You will be part of a team of over 100 driving professionals all committed to doing their part in environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

You will play a key role in our business, transporting materials from our customers to our processing sites. It is here that the materials (metal and waste) are processed and transformed into reusable materials before being transported to take their next step on their journey

Class 1 drivers may be asked to cover the below driver positions:

- Artic Drivers

- Skip Drivers

- Roll on Roll off Wagon & Drag Drivers

- Tippers

Responsibilities include:

- Communicating with the planners and following schedules

- Liaising with customers and clients on site, maintaining good relationships

- Conducting thorough pre-start vehicle checks

- Reporting any vehicle defects

- Following company Safe Operating Procedures

- Taking care of the vehicles

- Completing daily checks and paperwork

Skills and Knowledge Required:

It is essential you have previous experience within a Driving role. The ideal candidate will also have:

- LGV Cat C + E License (Class 1)

- Current DCPC Card

- Good geographical knowledge

- Tachograph/ digital smart card operation
