We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our clients team based in Didcot. As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely during night shifts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled driver who is looking to further their career in a well-established and reputable company.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods to various destinations, ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
• Adhere to all relevant driving laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
• Load and unload goods in a secure and organized manner, ensuring they are protected during transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanour at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 driving license with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
• Clean driving record and a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of road safety and excellent driving skills.
• Ability to work night shifts with start times between 15:00 and 23:30.
• Flexibility to work a 45-hour week over 5 days, including weekends and public holidays as required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• You must be eligible to work in the UK.
• A valid CPC card and digital tachograph card.
