Class 1 Night Shunter

Job Description

FreightForce require a Class 1 night shunter to work at one of our on-site location based in Beccles.

The role includes moving, dropping, swapping trailers from one site to another ready for transport across the country. Keeping an eye on quality control, reporting defects and making sure the trailers and yard are tidy are also a responsibility. Securing loads using straps and preparing trailers to be loaded safely is of high importance and a continuous part of the role.

You would be reporting to the on-site Contract Manager relaying any important information at the end of shift. You will be tasked to ensure paperwork is correct and ready for the other collecting drivers.

You will be required to carry out and record daily checks of all trailers and vehicles and potentially run to Norwich to collect trailers.

Times are Monday to Friday 17:00 to around 03:30 each night with a 1 hour unpaid break.

Immediate start available with training included after a successful driver assessment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 750.00 per week
