Job Description

Full

Allocated top spec vehicle with fridge, microwave and invertor (Volvo). Delivering/Collecting goods from all over the UK using refrigerated and curtainsided trailers. Complete daily vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, report any defects to the Transport department. Comply with all Drivers Hours and Tachograph Regulations Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department

Essential Criteria

Must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence, Digital Tachograph card and a Valid Full driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence). Minimum of 1 years class 1 driving experience Good geographical knowledge of the UK Excellent knowledge of drivers hours, rules and regulations Good communication skills (Both written and verbal) Excellent Customer Service skills Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques Must be flexible to work weekends Must be over 21 years old (for insurance purposes)

Experience

Driving of HGV Class 1 vehicles: 1 year (Required) Temperature controlled vehicles: 1 year (Required but not essential as training will be provided)

4 on / 4 off (Limited positions available for this rota pattern) 6 on (24hrs off at home) then 5 on (45 hours off at home) 6 on (24hrs off away from base) then 5 on (45 hours off at home)
