Class 1 Trunk Driver (Nights)

Waltham Cross, Herts

Salary:

44,300 per annum

Working Hours:

Various start times ranging from 1800 - 2200

Shift:

Any 5 out of 7 nights, 48 hours per week, on a 2 week rota basis.



We have an immediate requirement for a Night Class 1 Trunk Driver to safely deliver fresh and perishable products to our depots in England and Scotland. As a Class 1 Trunk Driver you will ensure that all deliveries are completed in full and within the specified timescales.



Established in 1945, Reynolds Catering Supplies provides more than 3,000 different types of fresh produce and chilled foods, from all around the world to businesses across the UK.

Accountabilities:

Fulfil any request from the Distribution Shift Team Manager. The Class 1 Trunk Driver is responsible for ensuring all goods to be transported are safe and secure. Assist with loading and unloading of all goods transported, with due care and attention. Collection of Backhauls from Depots or Suppliers, validating product quality and order accuracy when receiving product. Maintain an organized and efficient route and ensure all health and safety standards are maintained during their shift. Support Yard Shunting team. Ensure all Class 1 vehicle checks are completed and recorded prior to departing, and any defects are reported to distribution. Responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety, Temperature Monitoring and HACCP controls in accordance with rules, procedures, and documentation. Communicate all product/invoice discrepancies and any delays to the National Distribution Centre. Complete and return of all Company and customer paperwork to the required standard.

To be successful in your application for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience.

Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), CPC & Digital Tacho Card. Minimum of 12 months commercial LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) experience. A good working knowledge of Transport related legislation. No major convictions such as DR'S, DD'S, INS and no more than 6 Points on license.
