This is a full-time role with changing shift patterns, where you'll spend every day out on the road behind the wheel of a state-of-the-art HGV, with ready-made routes, getting pallets from A to B. What you need to show us
We look to our HGV drivers to go the extra mile for people. So, along with the relevant HGV driving qualifications and driving cards (CPC, Tachograph), you'll need a friendly personality and great customer skills. You'll also need to carry out essential vehicle safety checks and keep your vehicle looking world-class, so a good eye for detail will be a real asset too.
Driving and operating your vehicle in accordance with Road Traffic Legislation and the Highway Code It will be your responsibility to keep this vehicle clean and serviceable.
Ensure that all Daily Vehicle Checks are undertaken and reported and make effective use of safety equipment, particularly personal protective equipment.
To return all documentation applicable as instructed by your Depot Manager and Supervisors and to always comply with company rules. Healthy and safety is of utmost importance, and we provide full training to support this. You will be expected to always comply with all legislative requirements, company policy and procedures and there is a zero-tolerance policy on unsafe practices.
