Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a MULTI DROP DRIVER This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles, primarily focusing on delivery and transportation duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

Safely operate lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to clients across designated routes Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical checks to ensure optimal functioning of the vehicle Load and unload cargo efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and weight limits Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules and any issues encountered during transit Assist in warehouse operations when not on the road, including inventory management and stock organisation Follow all health and safety regulations, including adherence to driving hours legislation and vehicle maintenance schedules Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring a professional and courteous attitude at all times

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role is highly desirable Proven competence in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues Experience working in warehouse environments, demonstrating organisational skills and efficiency Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients Valid driver licence or equivalent certification required Familiarity with delivery driver regulations and safety standards within the UK transport industry
