PERMANENT ROLE - CLASS 2 DRIVER - ANY 4 or 5 OVER 7 - 16.10 PER HOUR

Wincanton is offering the opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Lorry Driver to join our prestigious client JD Sports, as part of the delivery team out of Bellshill Scotland.


Deliveries are in totes, some stores require using a vehicle tail lift to stores, handball involved, ensuring that goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, paperwork and PDA (electronic proof of delivery) is completed, and any agreed recycling/empty totes etc are collected and returned to the DC.

16.10 per annum

48 hours per week contract

Shift Pattern any 4 or 5 over 7

Start times available: varies daily between 04:00am and 06:00am

Additional shift payments - up to 10 hours worked 192.89 / over 10 hours worked 257.17

How will you contribute?

Average 6 store delivery drops per shift (however this is subject to change). Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers' products. Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times. Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Driver's Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt-out available). Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting. To ensure contractual KPI's over the delivery of the product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner. Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement. Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy, and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day.

Must have valid in date Class 2 licence Must have valid in date drivers CPC card Must hold Digital tachograph card Must have 6 months of Class 2 driving experience Must not have more than 6 points on licence Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work Must have a good geographical knowledge
