All About the Role

Based at our CMT Steel Services site, Congreaves Industrial Estate, Overend Road, Cradley Heath, B64 7DD, this is a multi-drop role, and the purpose of this role is to carry out driving & related warehouse duties involved with the carriage of goods within a defined geographical area. The hours are Monday to Friday 42.5 plus overtime when required,

Specific tasks could include:

To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises. Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay. To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift. To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle. Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use & are operated in a safe manner. To work in the warehouse as and when required

All About You

Essential Skills for the role:

To hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points). Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card. Knowledge of working time directive. Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business. - ideal but not necessary Understanding and experience of EHS requirements. Multi-Drop experience - Ideal
