Job Description

At GlassSolutions, part of Saint-Gobain, we are looking for a Class 2 Driver for a Monday to Friday, permanent full-time role.

In your role as a customer delivery driver, you will be required to safely deliver building materials to our customers, whilst representing the company with a professional approach.

This role has a key impact on how customers view the service delivered by GlassSolutions and interacts with key customer influencers on a daily basis.

This role is based out of our Elland site, and our shift pattern is 6am - 2.45pm.

What we're looking for:

Minimum Class 2 license

Ideally have 2 years of LGV driving experience

Hold a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and to undertake periodic training in order to remain qualified

Experience of interacting with customers

What will you be doing:

Carry out driving, delivery and loading duties in a safe and responsible manner, within the law and in the most efficient way, enabling maximum vehicle utilization

Complete daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects that require urgent attention

Check & sign off load prior to setting off, to ensure the load is complete and safe

Ensure delivery notes are signed by customers, and returned to the office as well as any cash/cheques/receipts/drivers forms
