Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting Gas Cylinders safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage logistics effectively.

Duties

Operate a Gas lorry for the delivery of gas to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload gas bottles, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transportation. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of oneself and others on the road. Assist in route planning to optimise delivery efficiency and minimise delays.

Qualifications

Valid applicable Class 2 driving licence ADR is essential. Experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred, particularly with Class 2 vehicles. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. A commitment to safety practices and adherence to all relevant regulations is crucial.
