Role outline:

The Driver is required to drive a HGV vehicle to deliver goods to customers.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).

The hourly rate is 16.51 per hour. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.

Key responsibilities:

Undertake daily vehicle checks using the AssetGo App. Complete manual entries on the tachograph unit. Comply with current European Union (EU) and Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation. Ensure that fluid levels are correct. Check the load security on a daily basis. Drive in a safe manner within current speed limits allowing for local conditions. Check off items against delivery sheets. Communicate any issues with deliveries to the Customer Services team. Liaise with customers regarding estimated time of arrival. Collect cheques from customers (as required). Liaise with the Logistics Department regarding any challenges experienced. Ensure the interior of the vehicle is kept clean.

Person specification:

Valid UK Driving licence (essential). Category C licence (essential). Valid Tacograph card. Valid Driver CPC card. Willing to undertake night outs. Ensure that a professional image is portrayed at all times. Excellent attention to detail.
