Class 2 Driver Wanted

Temporary to Permanent Opportunity.

5am to 2pm Core Hours / 42.5-Hours Per Week.

2-Week Rota (5-days over 7 in Week 1) and (6-days over 7 in Week 2, Includes Saturday)

Basic Annual Salary Range: 35,000 to 38,000 (up to an equivalent of 17.19ph).

Overtime and bonuses available.

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

You will be required to complete an in-house driving assessment if you are a newly qualified Class 2 Driver, Class 2 Driver for under 12-months, not currently Driving Class 2.

Duties

Operate a Class 2 vehicle for the transportation of goods across designated routes in Hampshire and surrounding counties. Ensure multiple deliveries are made on time to commercial clients in accordance with company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Load and unload perishable goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery records, temperature checks, and complete necessary paperwork. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for Class 2 vehicles. Proven experience Driving a Goods Vehicle in a commercial driving role. Driver CPC + Digital Taco Card required + DVLA Check to be completed. Must be eligible to work a full-time permanent position in the UK. No more than 6-points on your license. Must be able to routinely lift and carry up to 25KG. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A good understanding of road safety regulations and compliance requirements.
