Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations. All deliveries are Home deliveries - all stock is manually handballed from the truck on delivery. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing it properly for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients.

Requirements

Valid HGV license with appropriate endorsements. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, will consider new passes. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road. Overnight position - 2-3 nights per week possible Above average night out allowance 2 starting locations in Blackpool

Pay: From 14.50 per hour
