. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of packaging products to customers. This position requires strong driving skills, excellent customer service, and a proactive approach to maintaining vehicle standards and delivery accuracy.
Working hours: Normal hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. The daily hours of work are from 6 am to 2.30 pm; outside these hours will be overtime and paid at an enhanced rate. There is an unpaid lunch break of one hour each day.
25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays. The business closes for a Christmas shutdown each year, and approximately 3-4 days of this period will be deducted from your annual leave entitlement.
Wages are paid, every 4 weeks.
The company pays for drivers renewal CPC course.
Duties
Overnights required - Minimum 1 overnight with a maximum of 3 overnights per week. A non-taxable overnight allowance of 25 will be paid for each overnight.
Ensure the safe and timely delivery and collection of packaging products to customers, following designated routes and schedules.
Assist with loading and unloading goods securely to prevent damage during transit, if required.
Maintain the highest standards of customer service throughout deliveries and collections, representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Conduct regular pre- and post-trip vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and complies with safety standards.
Report any vehicle defects, delays, or delivery issues promptly to management.
Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle inspection logs.
Ensure compliance with all company procedures, health and safety regulations, and UK transport laws.
Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient and accurate delivery operations.
Follow all relevant health and safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and road safety guidelines.
Report any delivery or customer issues in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications
Valid UK driving licence
CPC qualification
Previous experience as an HGV delivery driver.
Good knowledge of UK road laws and driving regulations.
Familiarity with vehicle safety checks and basic maintenance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions on the road.
Attention to detail to ensure delivery accuracy and compliance with documentation.
