Summit Platforms, a leading name in powered access hire across the UK, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and flexible

HGV Driver

to join our growing team. Based at our [Portsmouth] depot, this role involves the safe and efficient delivery and collection of powered access equipment to and from customer sites.

This is a customer-facing position, ideal for a professional driver who takes pride in their work, values safety, and enjoys being part of a supportive and fast-paced team.

What You'll Need:

A valid HGV Class 2 licence (clean or with minor points considered) Full CPC and digital tachograph card Good geographical knowledge and route planning ability A proactive and reliable approach - able to work both independently and as part of a team Strong customer service and communication skills Basic IT skills (comfortable using a PDA)

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Delivering and collecting powered access equipment across the region Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records Securing loads in accordance with company and legal requirements Complying with drivers' hours legislation, road traffic laws, and company procedures Completing all relevant delivery/collection documentation Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and professionalism at all times Representing Summit Platforms positively when dealing with customers on site

Experience with powered access or plant equipment is desirable, but not essential -- full training will be provided to the right candidate.
