We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and compliance. The position involves operating flatbed lorries and requires a valid commercial driving licence.

Duties

Safely operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to designated locations across the region. Plan routes efficiently to optimise delivery times and minimise fuel consumption. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety standards are met. Secure cargo appropriately on the flatbed to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams. Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during operations. Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed. Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for swift resolution.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (CPC qualified). Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed operations. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently. Good organisational skills and ability to plan routes effectively. Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required. Prior experience with delivery driver roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific operational procedures. This role is ideal for dedicated drivers looking to contribute to a reputable logistics operation while maintaining high safety standards and delivering exceptional service.
